Times Where a Dentures Adhesive Would Help Improve How Your Dentures Fit

Times Where a Dentures Adhesive Would Help Improve How Your Dentures FitDentures work because they cling to the surface of your jaw via suction, however, that may not always be enough. Dental adhesives create a strong temporary bond between the denture and oral tissue. While deciding on an adhesive to use, be sure to choose one that has already been approved and tested by the American Dental Association. Alternatively, ask our dental office which adhesives we would recommend.

How do Adhesives Improve the Denture Fit?

When you wear a denture adhesive it helps improve the dentures fit and increases overall satisfaction of having to wear permanent dentures. These adhesives form an incredibly stable bond between the denture itself and your oral tissue. This gives you a much stronger bond, which leads to more control and confidence.

Denture adhesives prevent your dentures from slipping. If you are a person who suffers from dry mouth this condition can and does decrease the dentures adherence as the suction is created through the saliva. The adhesive provides you with a level of security that they know if they are using it there will not be slippage.

If you work with the public or perform in public in any way, then using an adhesive provides incredible confidence and endurance.

When you wear a dental adhesive, it aids by keeping small particles of food that would lodge below your denture, and this helps to eliminate bacteria and plaque that would grow and cause bad breath or halitosis, so the adhesive provides the comfort of control.

If you have not seen by the office in the last year to have your dentures evaluated and would like to make an appointment to schedule your checkup to do so, please call the office and we can get you scheduled in as soon as possible.
